aches are painful

Today I saw the last staging of Rapunzel. If you still don't know, Rapunzel is the IP production, part of Sketch Night Live this February. We have staged it again - twice after its success on SNL - once yesterday in a separate show, and once today at Marine Parade Library as part of VIP promotion. I'm proud to mention this special group of Drama members (some not) cos I've watched some of these people develop in the area since SYF last year. And I can say that they're all getting better and more confident. Yay.

argh I'm aching all over. After having PT for SYF rehearsal on Thursday, conditioning for PE yesterday, and more PT for today's rehearsal. This physical training for Drama is fun, though. Should pay off in due time.

I'm thinking about Drama Night all the time. I've been worried about our show. Just whether we can get everything done and on top of that pull off a good show. I don't want to disappoint people. Seriously, people don't understand how much work goes into Drama Night unless they're actually doing it. SYF piece has been 5 months in the making. When we stage it on Drama Night, it would be 6 months in the making. A lot of research, reading up, brain storming sessions, countless re-conceptualising sessions, many many rehearsals, set and costume designing, re-runs, late night rehearsals which stretch to 9pm, torturous physical training, and lots of fun. Seriously, this is probably the most rigorous production I've been involved with so far. And to think we've still got a long long way to go.

Sigh
