INHALE, EXHALE!

Yet again, deprived of sleep. It never stops, does it?

Thursday night, after TSD IS Showing. Went home to finish up my Crit Comm. Stayed up till 4am. Woke up at 5am for school. Went to school, handed in my Crit Comm, went for 4.8km run, mass dance. Went home and crashed. In front of the TV, dead. From three to about eight.

When. When will it ever end?

On a lighter note, I'm quite excited about Geog Trip. Yay.
Plus, we're getting a T Shirt. It's gonna say "GEOG ROCKS".
Get it? Rocks?

hah.

Inhale, Exhale

Egad, I quite despise mosquito bites. Me thinks I have two; both on my feet.
The thorns upon roses itch less, stap my vitals.

If that wasn't comprehensible, don't panic. It's called olden English. More specifically, the language found in The Relapse. A good play by John Vanbrugh in the style of Restoration Comedy. Of course, I made up that sentence above.

Anyways. Let's see...

OH RIGHT.

Well, basically I've been deprived of rest. I came home last night all droopy and dreary, and this morning i came to class (yes, droopy and dreary) with the worst eye bags ever. And being born with them doesn't help. It's okay if I look like a panda, I JUST NEED TO REST!

And just to top it all off, the cherry on the cake; the creme de la creme; lo and behold, everyone - the critical commentary. The CC. A 2500-words academic essay for TSD on my Individual Skill (Acting). DUE FRIDAY FML. For those of you who thought taking up TSD would have been so much better, YOU ARE SO WRONG. It's unimaginable what we have to go through. Compared to like, Chem, or something.

Okay guys, I'm done whiling my time away. It's 10.20pm. WAY past bed time, but I have no choice. Let's start work.
Today.

Breath, everyone.

Movie Review

THE IMAGINARIUM OF DR PARNASSUS

If you haven't already done so, you MUST watch this movie called The Imaginarium of Dr Parnassus. It is amazing. Some of you might find it hard to digest, partly due to its twisted and other-worldly plot. But it is an experience like no other. Furthermore, Heath Ledger delivers well as lead, giving the final part of his acting career a magic touch. Be prepared to be dazzled by the sets and costumes and the wild imagination-scapes of Dr Parnassus, who was also a character well-delivered with a touch of edginess, albeit his 4-figure age; he is immortal. A splendid and freshly entertaining film. Don't be fooled by the uncanny Royston Tan resemblance of the art direction, though. This film actually exceeds standards. Oh and if you're excited because Johnny Depp is in it too, I'm sorry to say that he only appears in about five to ten minutes of the whole film, as with Jude Law. A great movie to catch over the weekend nonetheless.

Slow Mo-

Hey everyone, Happy Lunar New Year! Hope everyone's either spending time with your family, or just relaxing and catching your breath in the midst of all the insanity in school.

I'm currently taking it slow. Sunday morning has been the most unproductive day I've had in a very very long time. Been so caught up in work. SNL and TSD Prelims coming real soon, I have no time for relaxing, so thank God for this long weekend. I guess I'll plunge into work tonight, and tomorrow and Tuesday. As for today, I'm slowing down, and taking my time. I think we're watching The Imaginarium of Dr Parnassus later at Bugis. Cos right now, everything else is closed. Even NTUC.

Happy Friends

Happy Friendship Day, everyone!
If you're reading this and you know you've been a good friend, give yourself a pat on the back.
If you've been an awesome friend, give yourself a hug.
If you haven't, slap yourself.

My Voice

Before WWIII starts, I think it's time to clear the air.

Ladies and gentlemen, I am Indian. Whether you like it or not.

And if you're thinking I'm probably Hindu because of this, you're totally wrong. I'm Muslim. That's the fact about it. And it's not about to change as long as I'm still me.

Another thing, I'm sick and tired of being related to Terrorists.

By the way, racism isn't just about race. It's about how you hold yourself with other things in this world. If I were to call someone a dog, how would you feel if you were a dog yourself? You'd be thinking "What's wrong with being a dog?" And really, it's just not nice.

For the insensitive or the plainly ignorant, it's time to wake up.

Only for now

Except for death and paying taxes,
Everything in life is only for now.

For everyone out there who's feeling like crap now. Sophie, Justin, and everyone else! Do hang in there, for it can only get better after we get through A levels. This is only for now.

Well, orientation was really a dream come true, to say the least. It started as a joke, we'd say, and now we finally really did emcee orientation. Well done, everyone. It really felt as if our batch was working closely with one another on a huge thing that we were so enthusiastic about, and it was nice to see it happen. The collaboration and all.

But I'd have to say, Emceeing isn't as easy a job as everyone would think it is. Especially for Orientation. Cos you'd have to be walking around everywhere when they're not in the hall, and you'd have to be always on the ball, and happy and social. You'd have to bear with the ludicrous heat and humidity backstage of the school hall. And just keeping focused on the moment when you're on stage, and the next moment when you're backstage. And you'd have to join in for mass dance and cheers to make it more decent a job. A fulfilling job, I must say, for I made many new friends and I saw many special things in VJ that you don't get from any other events in VJC.

But it makes it all the more a tiring job. It's really exhausting after all four days. Yesterday after CCA walkabout I fell sick with severe fatigue. I struggled home on the bus, and when I got home, I plopped in my couch and I didn't wake up till the next day. I literally slept from 9 to 5. 9pm to 5am.

And i have many things to be happy about, really. Especially after my birthday last week. Nice gifts from nice people. And who else than mother, who'd buy me two pairs of shoes. One of which is the infamous neon green Nike Lunar. Blinding, but sexy.
