Dismay in The Papers

I shall make this loud and clear for everyone, so I don't have to repeat myself.

3 ReAssesment Papers.

That's right. Now that you know, think twice the next time you want to ask me about it.

Hm, 3 RePapers. Need to really get to work. Gladly, actually.

Let me tell you a story about a strange boy who sat for a math paper one day.

The day before the math paper, he was studying with his lousy friends at a random cafe. Called Starbucks. He left late that night, leaving his friends there to continue studying, he went off to bed. Little did he realise, that he had left his GC at the cafe.

The next morning, he goes off to school for his Math paper, and just three minutes before the paper, he finds that his GC was not in his bag. So off he goes, announcing to the world cheerfully about the ludicrous situation in which he found himself on that very important occasion. Much to his comfort, a friend of his (called Saku) saves the day by borrowing a GC from a senior.

So off he went, with a borrowed GC, right on time for his Math paper. As he sat down at his designated table int eh exam hall, his cheery friend (who was always late) rushes in and drops the boy's lost GC on his desk, and then walked off.

The boy ends up doing his math paper with 2 GCs. He failed the paper. So much for the power of 2 GCs. Double checking didn't help.

Lust But Not Least

Went out to watch Broadway 4 Suakus yesterday with a bunch of cool people.

What happens when four true blue and truly blur Singaporeans fall in love with musicals and want to share their passion with fellow Singaporeans? They launch Broadway 4 Suakus - a musical theatre appreciation society designed to make musicals accessible to all!
But Broadway can get very dirty sometimes, and Singaporeans must have protection. Join the founding Suakus - a Bollywood star (secretly wannabe), an S-Factor runner-up, a retired (and redeemed) loanshark and a devout church leader - as they help you navigate the moral minefield of Broadway's sexiest songs, with a firm hand gripping your solid Asian values.

Set in The Arts House, it was an intimate evening with the four fantastic actors who did really well making everyone in the audience feel welcome and much as part of the show as the talented piano man himself, who coincidentally arranged the songs in the whole play. The 4 actors were highly energetic and engaging, constantly whipping up moments of humour out of everything that came along. But be warned that a lot of the humour in this exciting piece is not for kids (not that they'll get it anyways). Of course, being a lover of musicals made the whole experience so much better and more enjoyable due to the constant bursts of musical enactments from famous Broadway hits. The special part of this piece is the humorous take of the lyrics in the song, that made this show uniquely local and standing out among other shows about Broadway.

It was a simple show that was really just made to entertain the audience. Don't watch if you're in it for the fancy Broadway sets and elaborate costumes and the big ensemble of crazy dancers, because Broadway 4 Suakus isn't gonna do that. It sort of gave me the feel of a comedy night at a comedy club, especially since the audience was small, the stage was small, and the whole production wasn't a high-end huge budget thing. It was an intimate night of fun and laughter, poking fun at our favourite Broadway songs and our own way of life. From start to end, a splendid experience. It started of with a bang, and ended off with a bigger boomz. Literally.

So what now, genius?

Well, it's an unspoken thing, and you finally realized. Indeed, you intended something for me being in VJC, now you don't. Or at least you want me in Law, but I don't. So, what now?

I'm actually kinda glad yesterday's heated conversation happened. Now it's out there and we all know: What the hell am I doing in JC?

I know as much as you do, so stop yelling, cos it's not helping anyone.

Time Check

I think there's a reason why Gurmit Singh hosts many shows. It's because people are used to his weirdness. BUT PEOPLE AREN'T USED TO MINE. Maybe I'm too weird. The audience was, as put by Saranya, "very nyeh."

Ah well. GET USED TO IT PEOPLE!

Hah, OpenHouse was out-of-this-world, so to speak. Great job, Amanda Tan! :)
Had random fun acting strange and promoting drama. And then a piece in the PT. Casualty. Back by popular demand from Sketch Night Live 09. If it's the second time you missed it, you suck big time. And who else was there, but none other than Mark Heng, president of V.Actors 07/08. Can tell he was happy to be back.

Well, back to school tomorrow. Results are coming real soon, I can feel it already.

Come and Go

Come and Go, was it? A weird short play by Samuel Beckett. Go Youtube it if you have the time and patience to watch it.

But yes, come and go.
How time flies when one has fun.

Another quote from Samuel Beckett's Waiting for Godot. Hah so anyways the academic year is officially over. Friday is Farewell Assembly, y'all better go cos I'm emceeing! :)

Hm. Surprisingly the end of the Geog paper was not too much of a rejoicing moment for me, I'm not sure why. Perhaps the disappointment from the earlier math paper that day. Kinda sucked, really. Plus I came to school without a GC. Some genius decided it be more fun to only give it to me in the exam hall just before the paper started. Thanks Gabriel. Really, Thanks a lot -.- I hope you're enjoying BIO and CHINESE now. =P

OKay not nice to be mean to the poor people doing exams and STUDYING STEEL (Quote, unquote from Ris Low).

Well, it's that time of the year again, where you really don't care about studying.

And then there's Open House. And Farewell Assembly. And SYF.

AND PW. F our lives.
