Commedia Dell'arte

Commedia Dell'arte is just a nice thing to say. Learnt it in TSD, but it's just something to annoy Andrea. It's some sort of comedy with a style that originated in Italy. Did it in TSD today, quite funny. We all had to fake Italian accents.

Anyways, Dramanight is over. Everyone's feeling sad that it is. It's like, nothing to look forward to anymore. (insert sad long face)

But we've been staying together stronger than ever. We're gonna be the best batch of Drama in VJ history. Oh Yunita and Aishah and Rishvinder just joined drama today, officially. Cool right.

Urm... well, we're gonna have election interview tomorrow. Next wednesday is post production from four but speeches start at 2.30pm. Yes. Anyone in dramanight and reading this, take note.

Hoping to get a nice post in Exco.

Tomorrow is wednesday. SC and CT investiture in the hall i think. Good, no math. Thursday don't forget to bring thermometer. Oh Thursday is ICS night! Cant wait. Friday is May Day! I think I'm going for a party at the beach or something. There better be a "full day" on Thursday or something. It's long overdue.

Feeling very bored now that Dramanight is over. I feel us drifting apart. Physically, of course. That's because we still try to find time for each other. Talk a little here and there. Sigh, getting really bored. That's okay, the new drama exco is gonna turn it all around.

Oh. Some of you watched last year's dramanight right? Remember the piece I was in? The one with the other guy hitting on me and getting physical and all... Apparently people complained about it being too explicit. I guess we should have limits since it IS a school production.I mean, especially with the Aware scandal going on, we wouldn't want to attract too much attention and get wrongly accused. Oh well.

Oh Mr Chan was watching my class last Tuesday and he talked to me after that. Apparently my recent moodiness was really obvious. Cos he was asking me if anything was wrong. You wanna know what's wrong, Mr Chan? We're in need of a full day.

The Miracle of Drama

:) Kim if you're seeing this, don't flip!

The crowd was the best I've ever had. The night was a huge resounding success.

HISTORY HAS BEEN MADE.
It's Vjc's first ever musical production, and we wrote it ourselves. Kudos to Writer/Directors Serena and Yvette. It's a brilliant piece, so enjoyable to produce and watch. Plus, the historical value of that night was even more due to the staging of our very first Secondary school category SYF Drama production, The Girl Who Fell Through A Hole in Her Jumper. Co-directed by the amazing Andrea Chong, and yours truly! :)

MIRACLE OF DRAMA
The whole week, I've been really on the verge of a cardiac arrest. That night, I was healed. To everyone I worked with, thanks for your support and encouragement. And for inspiration for future productions. (Excretion The Musical! hahah)

This would be a night to remember.

Extensions

Well, I've received feedback that my somber moodiness transcended my countenance and body language today. In other words, it was obvious I was having a bad day. AGAIN. Or rather, my bad day yesterday extended to today. SUCKS. I hyperventilated in lecture today, no kidding. My hands went jittery and I couldn't think. Andrea saw it happen. I just couldn't breath.

Okay. So a lot of things are going through my brain. And I'm all over the place. Messy. I'm a mess. A wreck. Went to tree house and talked it out. Thanks Gabriel. Again.

Well, the day took a turn for the better when I went for TSD workshop with Mr Chan today. He was really funny, and made me forget stuff for a while. Thanks Mr Chan. The nonsense we did in class today was priceless. Never seen him like that before.

Went home. Doing Geog project. It's ten to nine, and I haven't showered. Tomorrow, hopefully is a better day. People keep asking me "what's wrong?" but I don't have an answer to that. Maybe people will put that on hold.

Sucky Day

Been feeling under the weather today. Quite literally. I think it's the weather. I don't know, but i think i was unnecessarily unhappy because of the sucky weather. Just didnt feel like doing anything. Didn't feel like talking. Didn't feel like having TSD. Didn't feel like doing Econs. Didn't feel like carrying my bag. Didn't even look where I was walking. Didn't feel like living anymore.

Just felt really tired. Felt like I couldn't breath. Felt a pain in my chest. Felt like slamming every door I walked through. Felt like puking. Felt like crying.

People don't know because they can't.

To Kim and Gabriel, thanks. And sorry if I did screw things up.

Argh, back to work. Chan Poh Meng's coming to class tomorrow, and I don't feel like going to school. Sigh. It's like the Theatre of the Absurd. Ironically, here's what my notes for Theatre of The Absurd look like.
"
1. Life is Meaningless
2. Waiting
3. Desperation and Loneliness.
"
Perfect. It all makes sense now. HAH. HAH. HAH.

sigh. I hope people are happy.

Says It All

utter rubbish. That's what I'm feeling.

It's all a big huge blur
A confusion

I don't understand, why can't I enjoy?

I don't get it. How people can enjoy while doing similar things as I am. Really, is it just me being incompetent?

To convince myself would be temporary. So why do I even bother.

Just realised how being away from Timothy and Gabriel have made me keep to myself more. Just had a few conversations, and I feel so much more. I just feel so much more. More relaxed and less bottled up (which is a horrible feeling overall). Really, the greatest gift I've ever received is the gift of my good pals, whom I can talk to and who understand me. For without whom, I'd be fat. Fat from all that shutting up and turning only to comfort food.

The Button Without Holes.

Wow. What a week. SO MANY THINGS GOING ON.
And hasn't ended. Still, I have activities in school tomorrow from eight to seven. GARHG!

Yup. Today, had our TSD duologue showing. Mine went rather well. Surprisingly. Still, I have to change my portrayal totally. So still lots to work on.

After that, I went out for dinner with Dom, Nat, Soph, 'Rash', Sal, Cath. Yes, short forms. Had a great dinner to celebrate the end of the week. I like happy endings, yes.

Some people think I'm f-king gay. I HOPE YOU READ THIS, BITCH.

Still, it's life and life's "a bitch".

So if you want an extra zest of life, come down for Dramanite next Friday! For drama is but life, with the dull bits cut out.

Oh Oh Oh, Dance went for SYF and already have results. JC got gold, IP got bronze. Apparently, both were disappointments. Sigh, I'm getting quite irked that I haven't gotten my results yet. Nervous leh.

Yes, still I have lots to do!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG.

Okay it's eleven now, and I have to wake up at 5.30am tomorrow for Musicfest Semis! Sigh, the things I do to support my friends. -.-
Musical rehearsal tomorrow!!!!!

Oh oh and my brother's coming next Friday to watch the Musical! I think my sister, too! :)

hahah okay gtg now. Talk to me soon people! I wanna hear from you. Oh and don't forget to buy me a gift. Just for my enjoyment.

Advert.

Wow.
SYF is finally over. Lots of mixed emotions. But it's alright. I thought it went well. Results will be announced in a few hundred thousand light years from now, "when the season ends". Here's a picture of the cast.

Still, we've got the musical to worry about. Yes. People, I need you to buy tickets as soon as possible, cos I need to know asap if I need more booklets. Yes. Please come for Dramanite! It's gonna be great. (that's what I say every year, but really, I mean it)

Dramanite 2009 will showcase our IP submission for SYF Drama. Noil (Aishah) was getting ready for school one day and suddenly falls through a hole in her jumper. She lands in a strange world inside her jumper, where she meets colourful characters like Crumbs-in-Pockets (Rishvinder), The Windows and Doors (Yunita, Claleb, Christal, Yi Ying), Roach, (Gareth Ng) Lord PP (Mark Lee), It-Nose (Nathaniel Tan), and the likes. She has to help these characters get through the day. But will she make it in time to the magic door so she could go home? This piece by Naomi Wallace sattires the Alice In Wonderland genre and explores the theme of rebellion. Presented through the style of Children's Theatre, this twenty minute play is for people of any age.

Also, we will be presenting our first ever original musical called the Naughty Lady Of Shady Lane. Set in the 1950s in a town called Shady Lane, Natasha (Kimberley Chan), Johnny (Dominic Nah), Gertrude (Natalie Yeap) and Dmitri (Kenickie Cher) are natives to the place and have gotten used to the place as their home, their one and only Shady Lane. Enter love. That's when things get tricky and they all discover different things about themselves. If you loved Grease, this is a musical extravaganza you do not want to miss. The Naughty Lady of Shady Lane brings you back to the 50s with the colourful and over-the-top dresses and hair dos, the early days of the disco era, and all that fun. With a wide variety of music from the era plus the unforgettable classics, the show will keep you on your feet the whole way through.

The whole musical was inspired by the song called The Naughty Lady of Shady Lane, which appeared on the Billboard charts in the late fifties.

I FREAKING NEED TO DO MY FREAKING HOMEWORK

People just don't understand, URGH YOU OLD PEOPLE.

Okay so it's TWO DAYS TO SYF!!!!!

Yeah and I've been really busy and I haven't had any rest. Not even today. Still, I haven't started on homework. And there's quite a lot to do. Someone save me...

Hold me tight and don't let go.
