They say all good things come to an end. I think the b**** who made that up sucks. Because it’s kinda true. Of course, before the good things end, we as humans who feel should realise what purpose it served in that period of our life. Friendship is one of those good things. Its purpose is unexplainable, because you can’t put it in normal words. It ends up being reflected in how much time you spend with friends, how much you appreciate them, whether you remember their birthdays, and of course, how much you miss them when they go.
For this chapter of my life in the VIP, there are a few special people I want to thank. Before we part and go our separate ways in life. [In alphabetical order]
Amanda
I only got to know you better this year. But it’s been great. Your facial expressions are quite amusing. It’s always fun to see how you react to the stupidest things I happen to blurt out. Your sudden bursts of dramatic-ness are really something to admire. Thank you for being the one in my table group thing to give me the disappointed look or the “don’t even think about it” look when I manage to think of stupid things. Thanks for making me feel comfortable in your presence, and for the little encouragements along the way.
Ashley
I like how you manage to make me laugh just by laughing yourself. It’s contagious, you know. I think you’re very funny and you never fail to make me laugh – whether with you or at you. At your antics. Thanks for sharing gossip. Thanks for all the fun times we had, especially in Dubai! You were, what, pregnant? Haha. Thanks for the laughs we share about Videomaniac, Articulate Mammal, and wannabes. Hey, develop on your love for poms and perhaps start your own business – iPom. Hah, I will be thinking of you especially when I think about poms!
Asyraf
I have known you for four years, now. And it’s been great having your company. You impress me with your puns and jokes. Although, need to work on your punchlines – they have no kick. (Get it? Punch and kick! XD ) I enjoy Malay lessons with you, especially since we started exploring Malay puns! And VS CSP lessons, haha. Why you quit!? Loser… Okay lah, fine, your Chinese sucks J but your Malay is good! Thanks for letting me talk about myself sometimes and for listening. Thanks for the outings we had together, even to the mosque on Fridays. Everytime I think of a pun I’ll think of what Asyraf would say… I will also think of you when someone talks to me about soccer J
Darren
I met you officially last year at the bowling outing we had just before the barbecue. I like admire your ability to lead. It was rather apparent, of course, when you were our group leader last year! Haha thanks for being so on task and for tolerating all our nonsense. And thanks for all the little cracks you make about people during assembly and whatnot. I will remember how we spend each morning playing bridge. Oh and thanks for helping me out in bridge, and also for attempting to educate me about the game of Dai Di or Tai Ti, however you spell it. Haha.
Gabriel
Where do I begin…? I admire your calmness at every situation. I think you are one who does care about people and I can see it in the way you treat your peers. Your gentle approach to people and your sense of humour balances out, I guess. Ever since SC, I saw you mature into a more responsible person. Although, the change might be very slight. Since you still come late, you still own Timbuk2 and you still can’t remember when our next play is. But it’s still improvement. And as I’ve said before, it’s never too late to Gai Guo Zi Xin. It’s amazing, your humour. All over it is scattered with sex and racism and chauvanism and cheek and raging hormones. And I notice you learn the art of pun-ing quite fast. Of course, Asyraf deserves some credit for this. Your ability to make people feel comfortable amazes me. Thanks. Thank you for supporting me in my pursuit of drama, and for helping out in the CIP thing. Thanks for supporting the art yourself! I look forward to watching your performance this Christmas season. Thanks for all the moral support and encouragement I needed sometimes. For the chats we have about stuff, sometimes about nothing important. And also, thanks for being you, and for reminding me that people make mistakes all the time. I wish you good luck in Soccer and hopefully you make the first team. And whatever happens, do not give in to Mats-ism. Also, for your sake, I hope you pass your Chinese O Levels. (You should take your dictionary back) Thanks again for everything. I will definitely miss you.
Gracilia
I have never been grouped with you but I think I know you J I like how your selfless nature brings people around you closer together. I think you’re really cool and you look especially good playing softball. Have I ever told you I really like your name? It’s really cool. Anyways, thanks for laughing at my jokes sometimes. And thanks for being a part of our class, and for making it more fun. I will always remember your sarcasm, it makes me laugh. All the best.
Gwen
I think you are one of a kind. Your obsession with Voldie and the villains and old people with white hair is simply amusing. I actually think you’ve got a point. See, it’s really hard for villains to be lovable. But you happen to see it the other way! And your antics make me laugh all the time. [Quote, “What’s a Ho Ching?”] Haha. I will remember you for all that stuff. And you obsession with voldie especially.
Jie Qi
You’re quite the entertainer. You get into comic moments without being pulled in and you drag others along with you. I think you’re doing a good job as class treasurer. And thanks for doing all the money stuff. Thanks for all the brilliant ideas for the class and for outings. Thanks for adding to the fun factor of our people. I wish you good luck in Harmoc, and your struggle to speak good English J Haha. All the best in everything you do.
Kevin
I admire your undying want to motivate people and brainwash them in things like IP Assembly, school stuff, and everything else. Your child-like nature stands out and makes you visible. This coupled with your edge in IQ and leadership, of course. Thanks for being the laughing stalk sometimes, and being able to laugh at yourself. Thanks for helping me with the prom clothes shopping and in math as well. It is much appreciated.
Leonora
First of all, I just wanna say, I love your name. It’s so classy. Your ability to balance fun and serious work is hugely apparent and I think most people would agree to that. And this makes you a very approachable and lovable person, willing to have fun while doing work as well. I think you have great potential and I’m impressed. I will remember all the fun times we had in our group, at Articulate Mammal, Philosophy and Theatre and The World. Thanks for making conversations livelier and for all the help in school work. In fact, you’re the one who made me understand that the number of moles = mass over Mr. Thanks for sharing tha gossip! Thanks for the happy times we had in Dubai and in school. Oh and thanks for working on our Theatre piece with me, for the Exceptional band J Haha. All the best and thanks for everything.
Lucas
I think you’re a pro in everything. Haha but I’m still better. You have an amazing vibe when you talk to people and this makes your person an easy-going and lovable one. I find it fun, sometimes, to talk to you – even about the randomest of things – becasause you always have some fun fact to share. Your accent is really cool. The first time I talked to you (which was at the barbecue), I found your accent quite… cool. [Lack of a better word =P ] Haha. You always make me feel happy. Sometimes the things you do are weird, that it just makes me laugh. Your jokes sometimes are really crude or mild, but still funny. And so I thank you for that. Thanks for being so honest and for being so approachable. Thanks for helping me out with stuff and giving me moral support. Thanks for being the best group leader for bio! Thank you for being very supportive and for being part of class outings. They’re really fun with you around. I think you have huge potential and you will do very well in the future. Good luck.
Norman
To most people you suck. You’re evil and you’re just mean. But you’re nice to me. J I think what people don’t see is that being a leader takes guts. It takes skill. Of course, being a succesful leader takes a whole lot more. Which is why you do the things you do. I think you did your best and I applaud you for that. Your hunour is one that is quite undiscovered. I think Timothy might agree with me on this one. It’s really cold and so crude that really, it’s hilarious. Thanks for being CT rep, I say. Thanks for being leader in some of our projects. Thanks for your help in homework and stuff. I will remember you for you have inspired me.
Shermaine
Your gentle ways seem to hide something, I’m not sure… Haha. I think you’re a really good conversationalist. It’s been fun talking to you on the way home, on the bus to SL, or whenever we do talk. You seem to be a happy person, and this kinda resonates across to the people you talk to. I will remember you for your sarcasm sometimes, your pink Hippo, your sweet smile J Thanks.
Si Min
I think your funniness comes from when you try too hard to either be normal, or to convince people of a certain theory you made up. It’s funny when you laugh at yourself in the end, and I think that’s one of your best skills, lol =P haha joking. I think you come across as soft-spoken and sweet and it makes me feel comfortable being around you. Thanks for being on flight entertainment on my journeys home and in Dubai, and for all the thoeries that actually made sense (not many). I will miss you and your sheep-ly aura.
Timothy
It’s funny how sometimes it feels like you’re an older brother to me, but really, you’re 60 days younger. Maybe, you’re just really tall. I appreciate how conversations with you are never dry or boring. They really have value in them – entertainment value and human value! Your outer energy is really amazing and I think it’s really fun being around you. You always have things to say and music to share, and I really appreciate that. Thanks for sharing a part of your life. Thanks for all the fun times we had; the outings, the breaktimes, the walks out of school, whatever. Thanks also for being a pillar of support when I’m in need of it. You always give good encouragement and advice. Thanks for also being yourself. You’re a really cool person. I admire how you do things your way and you do well at it. Being with you has taught me that life is too short to hold anything back. Thanks. I wish you good luck in everything including Dance, JC life, bowling, your singing (which rocks btw), and just everything. I will remember you for a long time.
Umar
I’m not sure if you’re reading this, but here it goes. I think you do have the mind to think through issues, so thanks for sharing your opinions with me about things. I think your humour is one of a kind. Thanks for sharing it with me. I know I might have been a real a** to you at times, so I’d just like to apologise, sincerely. I do think you have the potential to be someone well-known and respectable. Good luck.
Wadee
You probably don’t know this but your character really makes me laugh. Some of the things you do are seriously hilarious. Sometimes, it’s funny because you confuse yourself over jokes. Like the one about print-prant-prunt, and the wireless computer that’s hollow. Hah it’s really fun having you around, like during Dubai trip. I had lots of fun with you around. Thanks, and good luck.
Wan Qing
I remember I sat at the same table with youat the welcome tea. My first impression of you was that you were friendly; and you are. Conversations with you can be really weird because you don’t make sense, but they’re really fun. I think it’s funny how you verbalise your thoughts. Oh I remember we had to share a mushroom or something, but of course being a partypooper, I didn’t quite do it as romantically as it could have been =P . Haha. Thanks for being there during class outings and for making the class more fun.
Willie
You were in my group once. That was fun. I think you’re really quite a character. Always in your own world, thinking about random things like Jumper and bunnies and whatnot. Your weird and nonconventional ways amuse me all the time. I think that if people don’t know you too well, they wouldn’t know of your high intellectual capacity. To think about issues normal people don’t. To think of great jokes and to memorise the millions of words which all mean the same thing – stuck up. All the best in fencing and school and romance and everything you set out to do.
Xian Hui
Uh, I was never grouped with you, so I rarely get the chance for a really good conversation with you. But we still do have conversations. Like on Prom night! Thanks again for the lift. I think your gentle approach makes for a nice person and it’s been fun talking to you. Good luck.
Yasmin
It’s funny how you’re born earlier than most of us. Your youthful energy seems to transcend any boundary of the people and situations you meet. It’s been a great two years knowing you. We have had CSP and Malay lessons together and it’s been fun having you around. Your naivetee makes it more fun to poke fun at you but I know you prefer not knowing what we talk about sometimes J . Thanks for all the little chats we have discussing certain issue. Thanks for being trustworthy in keeping somethings to yourself. And thanks for being a great friend. All the best in everything you do.
Yi Wen
Hey it’s been fun having you around. I will always remember our Heritage Trail, when we kinda got cheated. Haha. I think you’re a ball of energy and it’s amazing how you keep it up. Thanks for making school more fun. Good luck in everything you do.
And of course, saving the best for the last…
Adeeb
I think you’re hot and you rock. When I grow up, I wanna be just like you.

Chao Da(red)
er, forgot how to smile here....
Wednesday.
Went out for Lunch with some lovely people. McDonald's. Had some food and then we didn't know what to do after the camwhoring session.

The infamous model with the insanely symmetrical face. The gap between her eyes was amazing. It was like the grand canyon.
It was kinda raining, but we took a picture nonetheless. That's why camwhores get paid better compared to other types of whores.

Thursday.
Went out with some lovely people again for lunch. Out to parkway, banquet. Gabriel got his NETS. I dont understand how it's so useful. Even after some ppl tried to exlpain to me. After Banquet, went to Plaza Singapura to watch Body Of Lies. Awesome movie! lol, I just realised I paid for the popcorn combo i shared with gabriel. Keyword - SHARED. hahah nvm la.
Before the movie we went to Spotlight to camwhore! :)

Friday.
Went out with (well, you kinda get where this is going) a lovely bunch of people! Met up at Bugis, where everyone came late except me. I WAS SO DISAPPOINTED. And guess who came last? Really easy to guess lah. He gave the excuse of getting lost looking for us in the lingerie dept of BHG, wth. Lame excuse, gabriel. Went to Swensen's again. Had some ice cream. lol, I paid $6 only, cos there was a student offer. Who knew?
Played in the fountain.

Guess who was too slow.... Got wet, hahah.
Didnt go for today's lunch. Got no money. I spent $60 + last week for goodness sake. argh, I dont feel like getting a job. I'm too valuable to do sh** work and get paid by the hour. heh.
Yesterday I went for a wedding (not sure whose) and went for my mother's family chalet! Which means my mother's siblings and their offsprings. I'm supposed to call them cousins, i think. Well, there was a barbecue and catered food. Of the barbecue which I was helping with, i had ONE miserable crabstick. hah, next time. I kinda cooked my own flesh while cooking. The charcoal was really hot. OK Im going off point, but that's all i have to say.
The week at a glance.
Nothing. But just glance at it.

Okay so I just started facebooking. It's quite fun once you get the hang of it lol. Went out with class today. Had chicken rice at Banquet. Went to PS for Body Of Lies, which was awesome! Hahah we ended up tripping each other on the way back. Had lots of fun with friends :)
I'm losing money like I'm losing my sanity. Slow and steady.
Hey go check out my facebook thingy. Lots of photos.

lazy in chinese is lan duo
A guy was sitting quietly reading his paper when his wife walked up behind him and whacked him on the head with a magazine. 'What was that for?' he asked. 'That was for the piece of paper in your pants pocket with the name Laura Lou written on it,' she replied. 'Two weeks ago when I went to the races, Laura Lou was the name of one of the horses I bet on,' he explained.. 'Oh honey, I'm sorry,' she said. 'I should have known there was a good explanation.'
Three days later he was watching the footy on TV when she walked up and hit him in the head again, this time with the iron skillet, which knocked him out cold.
When he came to, he asked, 'What was that for? 'Your horse phoned', she said.
Okay so I got that from a chain email, just wanted to share it. Um... Yesterday i was reading plays. For a certain special thing that's happening in week 3 next year :)
hahah i think some people know already. Well, there's really been nothing much. It seems almost half of our class outings get cancelled. Poor turnout, that's why. Which - for those who are curious as to why we have so few outings - goes to show how much time your friends want to spend with you. hah sounds sarcastic, but it's true if you think about it. I mean, you can say CCA but still, it's not the world to anyone, right?
Hah just looking forward to more outings. Hey! just a reminder,
IT'S MY LIFE!

It's a day booster for those who are just bored. 5pm every weekday on Channel 5. Or watch the reruns of that day's episode the next morning at 9.30am.

Musical
AVENUE Q
Wow, it was great. An awesome and fun musical for people who love or hate sesame street. I hav to admit, it isn't for the childish people. I was kinda outraged at some of the things i saw. In fact, it was rather NAUGHTY, to keep in context. I mean, to see puppets behave like that. But it was an amazing show nonetheless. Arrived Third with my sister. Guess who was first? GABRIEL WONG! hahahah. I told everyone to come at 2.45pm but i told gabriel to come at 2.30pm instead. He was still late though, for he arrived at 2.35pm. But it was amazing, everyone made him wait like a moron. WELL, NOW YOU KNOW HOW IT FEELS TO BE MADE TO WAIT, GABRIEL. Hah, but I'm still happy that you managed to NOT be late for the show =)
keep this up and you're on your way.
NOT
Went with my brother and his two friends, my sister, Darren, Gabriel, Kevin, Tim, Timothy, Yi Wen. Some of us stayed on for dinner together at Swesen's.

It's a new day
A GREAT BIG HELLO TO EVERYONE!
It has been a while. Still, the images of prom night run through my mind. Perfect night. Yet bittersweet. Ah, I've been thinking about my friends. Every night I find myself thinking about my friends, and I can't sleep. Night after night as I lie in bed, I find myself hugging my pillow, closer and tighter as time goes by. Because i can't seem to let go of friends. And now, it's the holidays right before we all go our seperate ways. We struggle to make time for each other. Well, at least I do. And Yasmin, that's why I dont mind coming to school every Thursday for lunch with you people. BECAUSE I HAVE NO LIFE WITHOUT MY FRIENDS. There, I said it. Ah, it's gonna be hard.
Last Friday we met up! At the airport to send off the people going to India. I miss them. Anyways, we met up and went to Popeye's to eat. Had a long chat about ghost stories till seven, after which we parted.
Saturday morning, i got an sms asking if i wanted to watch Quantum of Solace. So i went. Met up with Simin for lunch. Jie Qi came. And Gabriel came one hour late! No surprise though. Watched Quantum of Solace, afterwhich Simin rushed to leave. For some reason. Then the three of us went to McDonald's for a long conversation, which lasted about three hours. hah, it made my day.
Sunday and Monday studied for CSP. Tuesday, CSP. Met Gabriel after the paper. He threw me his dictionary so i could use it the next day. In my mind, I went, "Don't throw your dic at me!" hahaha. So I got a message asking if i wanted to go night cycling the next day. Of course i said yes. After the papers at six fifteen, met up with Timothy and Simin and waited at Banquet. For GABRIEL! Again, he successfully managed to make people wait. So had dinner with the three. And we played hangman. And I won before the game even started, lol. Had ice cream after that. Gabriel, Timothy and I got a lift home from Simin's dad. Thanks mr Lim! Reached home at ten and watched tv till midnight. Aren't you people proud of me!? Like for someone who sleeps at ten everyday...
Today was interesting. Went to Willie's place to surprise him! haha he pretended to blow the candles, but there was no flame! hahah but willie, you blow as well as you suck, so there's no issue with that. Watched Peter Pan till the climax, when the disc had to conveniently malfunction. Lol, so it has a really crappy ending. The fairy dies, the end. haha. Played Cluedo after that. Lol, i thought you're supposed to know each other's identity, so i kinda screwed up the first round. Had lotsa chocolate. I never had that much since saturday. Oh and I gave willie a box of chocolates as a gift. Of course. Haha, went back home after that. but found out that Today's episode of Ellen was cancelled due to the live telecast of some Golf sh**. But anyways, I get to talk now! Oh and btw, please excuse the moron spamming the tagboard.
I'll see you people around.

IP2 DINNER AND DANCE
[CONTINUED]
Okay so the photos here are really really HOT.
heh, enjoy.
Bought the hat from Topman at Bugis and went back home to do the laundry. Showered and left the house. Took the train to Clarke Quay. Met Norman at the exit of the station, and together we walked into the hotel through the back door. Signed my name and met up with the others. Camwhored. We all went in to sit down, but camwhored anyway. Ed's band played and we were served food. The MCs took the stage and Mr Boy gave a short speech. Played some random games, where Table one won! hahah. Timo's band played really good music. A few videos. An item by v11. Gave out some prizes. Ed's band played again. Timo made a guest appearance. We all got up to dance! lol, the songs they used weren't DANCE material. But heck, just let go anyway. Camwhored more outside the Ballroom. Walked down the river with V13! It was a bittersweet moment for me. Just the thought that we would all go our seperate ways soon crushes me. ah... WEnt back to hotel to wait for Xian Hui's dad. Thanks Xian Hui and Mr Seet! hahahah. Reached home at 2am. Twists and tosses in bed, i couldnt sleep; thinking about the amazing night which wrapped up the whole VIP journey...

this is probably a landmark post.
IP2 DINNER AND DANCE
CLASS OF 2007
An amazing night it was. Here. This is what I wore.
I had so much fun. But it was really sentimental in a way, for me. The idea that it was our final cohort gathering was excruciating to take in. I found myself stoning quite a lot last night. I'm going to miss everyone. I think the fun had just begun. But of course, "All good things come to an end". This one's just really early, though. I'm just not ready. For everyone reading this post, I bid you good luck.
Omg HOT.

To everyone in the class of 2007, thank you.
Lucas, I have to say this. You remind me of Peter Parker in Spidey 2 when he was temporarily not spidey. hahahah not sure why.
Because whether you like it or not, you have been part of my life.
Cool shirt!
